About the Artist
BERNADETTE CORBETT WAYSTACK is a painter, teacher and Harwich Port artist whose work explores the concepts of painting as prayer and landscape as memory. She paints primarily in oils and pastel. She practices the traditional method of white line wood block printmaking developed in Provincetown in the early 1900's. She also works with textiles creating art quilts and fabric collages.
Bernadette is an artist in residence at The 204 Cultural Municipal Arts Building in Harwich where she maintains a working studio space (Studio 205 on the second floor).
A 2-time scholarship recipient at the Fine Arts Work Center, her work has been shown in exhibitions at Provincetown Art Association & Museum, Cape Cod Museum of Art, Cotuit Center for the Arts and the Cultural Center of Cape Cod. Her work is found in private and corporate collections regionally.
