Bernadette Corbett Waystack works primarily in pastels featuring landscapes. She also enjoys working in oil and with textiles creating art quilts and fiber collages as well. Her favorite subject matter is landscapes, an influence of living in a place as inspirational as Cape Cod. Her background in quilt making contributes to a textural style, stemming from an attraction to the tactile and immediate quality that both fabric and pastel provide. She strives for an expressionistic
approach attempting to create a strong sense of place and presence in the work.
